A quillow is a cross between a blanket and cushion. Great for adventurous beginners and intermediates. You provide the fabric.

Friday 29 April: start of festival at 1700, featuring 21 real ales and 4 ciders.

Saturday 30 April: 1200-1600 children’s charity fun day in aid of local children. 2030-2300 live music with the Glamtastics playing in the gardens. BBQ.

Sunday 1 May: afternoon music in the gardens.

Monday 2 May: lunchtime entertainment.

46th Ipswich to Felixstowe Vehicle Road Run @ Felixstowe Seafront
May 1 all-day

Over 500 vehicles, including cars, lorries, motorcycles, buses and military vehicles.

The vehicles assemble in Christchurch Park at Ipswich from 0900-1030, then start to leave for Felixstowe at 1130, where they are displayed along the promenade (on both sides of the pier) during the afternoon (from about 1200 onwards).

The Mayors and Consorts of Felixstowe and Ipswich will lead the parade in an historic vehicle (a Bristol LFS Eastern Counties double decker bus).

Admission free (programmes available on the day for £1.00).

Jazz East at The Alex – Mammal Hands

Rotary Club of Felixstowe Charity Fun Run

Open to everyone, the event involves running or walking as many laps as possible around a measured mile circuit in one hour.

It is an opportunity to seek sponsorship on a lap or donation basis for your cause or charity. Fancy dress is encouraged (prizes). Souvenir certificate for all entrants.

Entry fee: 16 years and under – £4.00; over 16 years – £5.00.

Registration on the day will take place from 0930 onwards at the Town Hall at the bottom of Convalescent Hill.

Fun Run starts at 1100.

What’s About with the Ranger
Ranger led walk for all the family providing a seasonal look at the Landguard Nature Reserve.

A great opportunity to learn more about the reserve’s wildlife and enjoy a healthy walk.

Children 15 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Bring stout footwear and waterproofs. Dogs welcome if kept on a short lead.

Admission free, but donations welcome. All donations go towards the Landguard Bungalow bird feeding station.

Meet outside the Landguard Visitor Centre and View Point Cafe.
