This year marks the Centenary of the end of WW1 and to commemorate this there will be a number of events in the town.

Saturday 27 October (1045 for 1100 start)
Launch of the 2018 Poppy Appeal at the Felixstowe Triangle Canopy (including a parade).

Friday 2 to Sunday 18 November
Exhibition – WW1 Felixstowe at Felixstowe Library.

Thursday 8 November
Schoolchildren lay poppies at local cemeteries/churchyards.

Friday 9 November (1045-1115)
Schools’ Service at the War Memorial (Seafront).

Saturday 10 November (1930)

Remembrance Day – Sunday 11 November

0945 Civic Remembrance Service at St. John’s Church.
1045 Civic Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial (Seafront).
1200 (for 1215 start) Remembrance Service at the war graves in Felixstowe Cemetery.
1815-1900 Felixstowe Remembers, the Battles Over, Beacon Lighting at the War Memorial (Seafront). During WW1, 163 men from Felixstowe and surrounding villages died – these 163 fallen victims will be represented by local volunteers at this special commemorative event.
