An intriguing all-new open air theatre production about the life and very lively times of Philip Thicknesse, Governor of Landguard Fort from 1753 to 1766.

Hated by his enemies. Loved by his wives. Much respected by his men. A champion of the underdog. A man you will never forget.

A play by Peppy Barlow and Sally Wilden to be enjoyed by all ages. Led by four professional actors, with contemporary 18th C. music, puppets and community participation. Directed by Anna Birch.

Seating for Act 1, promenade with some seating for Act 2. Refreshments available.

Performances at 1800 on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 September; 1400 and 1800 on Sunday 1 October.

Tickets: Adults £12.00, under 18 years £6.00. Wheelchair access – free for accompanying adult.
