What’s been going on at the Ordy? The hotel was demolished at the end of 2014 and the site levelled in preparation for the new Premier Inn. Then in the new year, contractors came on site and replaced the metal fencing with a new wooden one, and ground works commenced. The it all stopped and on the weekend of 30-31st January, the fencing contractors returned and took all the fence panels away.
What was going on? FTV had a statement from Premier Inn to say that the main contractor had gone into administration. They hope to appoint a new contractor and get works started again as soon as possible.
