The Dad’s Army Variety Show @ Spa Pavilion

A salute to the 1940s! The ultimate period variety show meets sitcom entertainment.

As well as featuring tributes to many of the stars from the WWII era such as George Formby, Gracie Fields, Frank Sinatra, Max Miller and the UK’s No.1 ‘Vera Lynn’, Lorrie Brown, the show is supported by the Warmington-on-Sea Home Guard, AKA the Dad’s Army, featuring all the characters from the hit TV show. The troop perform brand new sketches and introduce the acts.

The stage will be patriotically decorated with flags, bunting and webbing as well as 1940s scenery. To add to your fun, the main characters will be available for photographs after the show.

Suffolk Armed Forces Weekend @ Throughout the town and Landguard Peninsula

Bring the whole family to the seaside town of Felixstowe for this year’s action-packed Suffolk Armed Forces Weekend.

Marking both the 350th anniversary of the Dutch attack (1667) on Landguard Fort and also celebrating the huge contribution made by our servicemen and women from the past until the present day. The event gives local people the opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ to our Armed Forces.

St. Elizabeth Hospice – Felixstowe Open Gardens @ Various locations throughout the town

A group of five beautiful Felixstowe gardens will be opening as part of St. Elizabeth Hospice’s Great Garden Trail.

This is the hospice’s annual county-wide open gardens programme.

The five gardens open are: 41 Westmorland Road, 1 Rosemary Avenue, 43 Princes Road, 60 Garrison Lane and 35B St. George’s Road.

Also plant and book sale, tombola and refreshments, including teas, cakes and savouries. Dogs are allowed on leads and there is wheelchair access.

Tickets are £4.00 per adult, with children under 16 free. Available at each garden, so you can start anywhere. All proceeds benefiting the patients of St. Elizabeth Hospice.
